Soal Agya - Ayla yang sekiranya akan melibas Avanza - Xenia, Direktur Marketing PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) Joko Trisanyoto memiliki pandangannya sendiri. Baginya hal itu mungkin saja, walaupun tidak bisa menampik unsur fungsional.

Tercatat dalam hitungan hari awal pameran, Agya mendominasi 70 persen penjualan mobil Toyota di IIMS 2012 yang dengan kata lain mengalahkan Avanza. Di samping sebagai city car, Agya - Ayla sebagai bagian dari program mobil murah ramah lingkungan (LCGC) pun akan menjadi tren baru jika jadi dipasarkan pada awal 2013.
Jessada Thongpak, analis dari IHS Automotive Bangkok, menyampaikan pandangannya di The 7th Indonesia International Automotive Conference di Kemayoran dalam IIMS 2012. Baginya, proyek LCGC akan menjadi alternatif baru bagi para pengguna sepeda motor yang beralih menjadi pengguna mobil.
"Produksi LCGC dalam negeri ini akan meningkat, bahkan mendongkrak total pasar mobil penumpang dalam dua tahun mendatang," paparnya.
Agya dan Ayla sendiri akan ditawarkan dengan harga menarik, sekaligus dengan fitur yang menarik pula. Agya pun bisa dipesan 'hanya' dengan tanda jadi Rp. 5 juta. Ia akan hadir dalam tiga pilihan varian, yakni TRD-S, High-Grade (G), dan Medium-Grade (E). Varian TRD-S dilengkapi bagian tambahan di depan, belakang, dan samping, serta emblem TRD-S, dan stiker TRD-S.
Sementara itu, varian High Grade (G) mengutamakan eksterior yang dilengkapi dengan krom pada grill radiator dan bagian pelindung samping, juga desain pegangan pintu luar dan spoiler belakang. Kelengkapannya sudah termasuk pendingin udara, power window dengan auto down untuk pengemudi, dan central doorlock, serta sabuk keselamatan di tiap kursi.
Khusus varian TRD S dan High Grade (G) terdapat fitur Chrome A/C Register, Chrome list combination meter, dua Din Audio CD/MP3/USB/Aux, chrome parking brake knob, dan chrome parking shift lever knob, serta power steering.
